Cecil Ave, Cannington - Masterplan

Office, Retail, Showrooms & Self Locking Storage Facility, ≈ $18M

This proposed development consists of five separate buildings in a ‘Commercial Centre’ that includes office, retail, café / restaurant and self-lock storage.  The area has been highlighted as a focal point for the proposed Cannington Town Centre.  We thought it was important to accentuate the Retail and Showroom uses of the property and locate the functional aspects (storage facilities) away from the primary street.  While it is impossible to disassociate projects of this type from Australia’s dependence on the car, Motus continually strives to minimise the cars impact on our environment.  This project is no exception, with parking areas shaded by trees, reciprocal parking to minimise the extent of carparks and access roads lined with established planting.  Construction value ≈ $18M

The development also incorporates residential living in close proximity to transport links to the City, and in high demand.  Again Motus was successful in negotiating increases to the density and changes in the allowed use for the site which resulted in a significant scale development on a small 600sqm site.  Mixed use development: 1 single house, 2 apartments, and a café/shop.  Construction value ≈ $1.66M
