The clients brief asked us to investigate all options with council in order to maximize the yield of the site.  After working through numerous scenarios, we finalized a solution that included serviced apartments.  This particular aspect of the development proved to be considered outside the maximum plot ratio for this site and was therefore essentially ‘bonus’ construction on the site.
The site is situated opposite the beautiful Mandurah Harbour and has uninterrupted views of water on 2 sides.  A sought after site, it was critical to the client that a resort style aesthetic was developed.  Motus took inspiration from the maritime setting and used vibrant white and blue tones, married with extensive stainless steel detailing. Unfortunately the GFC hit and the client was unable to secure finance to proceed with the project at that time.

This mixed use development comprises of 26 serviced apartments, six penthouse apartments and six commercial / retail tenancies.  Construction value ≈ $16.5M
